1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Song Splitter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Song Splitter is an AI-powered audio processing tool that separates audio files into individual instrument stems (vocals, drums, bass, other, and optionally guitar and piano). The Service is provided for personal use, music education, creative projects, and audio analysis.

3. Your Responsibilities and Copyright

You are solely responsible for all audio content you upload. By uploading a file, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the audio file, or you have explicit written permission from the copyright holder to process it using this Service.
• Your use of the separated stems will comply with all applicable copyright laws and licensing agreements.
• You will not use the separated stems for commercial redistribution, public performance, or synchronisation without obtaining the appropriate licenses from the copyright owner.
• You understand that separating a copyrighted song does not grant you any ownership rights over that song or its stems.

Song Splitter does not claim ownership of any uploaded audio or the separated stems produced from it.

4. DMCA & Copyright Takedown

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content processed through our Service infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to:

Our designated agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (registration number DMCA-1074527) and listed in the public DMCA Designated Agent Directory.

Your notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the infringing material, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, and (5) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.

5. Free service and donations

• The service is free: All features are available at no cost. Each account gets 5 fast (GPU) splits per day plus unlimited slower (CPU) splits, subject to file size (up to 50 MB) and duration (up to 30 min) limits.
• Donations: You may optionally donate through Paystack or Patreon to help cover server and compute costs. Donations are voluntary, grant no additional features or benefits, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• No subscription and no purchase of any kind is required to use the app.

6. Data and Privacy

Uploaded audio is stored temporarily for processing and deleted from our servers within 24 hours. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Process audio you do not have rights to use.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm the Service or other users.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific output quality. AI-based audio separation may produce imperfect results depending on the input audio.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Song Splitter and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any copyright claims resulting from how you use separated stems.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
